An entry is one line: date, customer, service with hourly rate, duration, a sentence about it. Type the duration however you like — 1:30, 1.5 or 90m. Whatever isn’t billed you mark as non-billable; it stays in the list but never goes on an invoice.

From entry to invoice line
Select a customer’s entries, click “Put on invoice” — and the draft invoice is ready, one line per entry with date and text. Add expenses or flat fees and send the invoice out by e-mail.
Billed entries are locked: they can’t go on an invoice a second time. Remove the line from the invoice and they become free again.

Open or billed — always visible
The figures at the top show how many hours are still open, how many of them are billable and what they’re worth. At month-end you see at a glance what still needs invoicing — instead of piecing it together from notes.
Switch it on under Settings › Features
Time tracking is a per-company switch. If you don’t bill by the hour, you never see the “Time” section — and if you need it, one click turns it on.
Frequently asked questions about time tracking
- Is there a stopwatch?
- No, deliberately not. MILQ is built for logging at the end of the day or week: type the duration, done. A running timer you forget about creates more corrections than benefit.
- Can I put entries from several customers on one invoice?
- No — an invoice belongs to one customer. MILQ only lets you select entries of the same customer and tells you why an entry doesn’t fit.
- Do team members see each other’s time?
- Yes. Time tracking belongs to the company, not the person — anyone who can book in the company sees all entries and can bill them.
